My son is starting college in the fall. He is the first in our family to graduate high school and the first to go to college. I’ve always wanted to give him the best of everything and that includes the best college experience I can. What makes this harder is the fact that we aren’t exactly rich. We make a decent living but the tuition rates are astronomical and they don’t even take into account the text books. I never realized how much textbooks could cost and there was no way we would be able to afford to buy the books brand new so I did some research online and found cengage, but even they seemed a little out of my reach, money-wise. I have been out of college and in the workforce for ten years now. I was recently approached by my supervisor about a new job title the company was creating. My supervisor said I would be perfect for the job, but that they could only promote me if I had my Masters degree. I knew I would be perfect for the position, but I was worried they would give away the job while I was attending school. I spoke with my supervisor and the director of the company and they agreed to go ahead and give me the position as long as I was attending a program for my Masters degree. I immediately went home and googled full time MBA programs. I found one that would still allow me to work full time at my job and sent in the application. I will start the program in January of the upcoming year. I cannot wait.
